This is an upside-down hike along a Southern California Edison maintenance road that winds its way above Upper Big Tujunga Road. The road used to drop down and cross Alder Creek but is no longer maintained after the last transmission tower where the powerlines soar over the creek. The last mile is brushy but passable down to Alder Creek. Hopefully, there will be water in the creek. We will have lunch on a sandy beach before trudging back up to the trailhead. A moderate difficulty hike of 7.7 miles with 1,243 feet of gain. Please RSVP to Scott at This email address is being protected from spambots. Directions:
