Fred Canyon Nude Hike & Cibbets Flat Camping w/NitOC & Camping Bares

Fred Canyon Road is a dirt road that climbs a ridge parallel to the PCT.  This hike will head up to look at an old cistern and concrete pad on top of Korth high point.  The ascent up Fred Canyon is beautiful with lots of great views and turnouts to go exploring.  Maps show an unmaintained trail from Korth high point down to the PCT.  If that trail proves passable, we can return via the PCT.  Otherwise, we will return the way we came.  An easy hike of 9.2 miles with 1,251 feet of gain.

NitOC and Camping Bares have scheduled a camping trip at Cibbets Flat Campground from Friday, May 8 2026 at 4:00 PM to Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 3:00 PM PDT. Either camp here overnight, or arrive at the Cibbets Flat Campground by 10:00 AM on Saturday.  Take I-8 to Kitchen Creek Road and head 5 miles north to the campground.
